6 Fun Team-Building Activities Your Employees Will Enjoy

Employees who feel valued and appreciated are more productive. That’s why it’s important to find ways to build team spirit and encourage employees to work together. One way to do that is by implementing fun team-building activities. These activities can help improve employee productivity and morale, making for a more positive and productive work environment.

Here are six fun team-building activities your employees are sure to enjoy:

1. Scavenger hunt

A scavenger hunt is a great way to get employees moving and working together. Divide employees into teams and give each team a list of items to find. The first team to find all the items wins!

For example, you could give each team a list of items common to the office, such as a stapler, printer, or coffee mug. Or, you could make it more challenging by having teams find items based on specific criteria, such as “Find something that starts with the letter ‘C’” or “Find something that is green.”

Additionally, you could make the scavenger hunt more fun by adding in some twists, such as requiring teams to take a selfie with each item they find.

2. Gell ball blast

This activity is perfect for hot summer days! Divide employees into teams and have them compete to see who can blast the most gel balls at targets in a specified time period. Gelatin balls are non-toxic, biodegradable, and safe for indoor or outdoor use. They’re also super fun to shoot at each other! For example, you could set up targets in the office or have some outdoor fun at GBU, the possibilities are endless! Each team would have a specified time to blast as many gel balls at the targets as possible. The team with the most hits wins!

To make it more interesting, you could add in some twists, such as differentiating between points for hitting the target and points for hitting a specific person on the other team. Just remember to have plenty of gel balls on hand – this activity can get pretty messy!

3. Minute to win it

This activity is perfect for employees who are competitive and enjoy a good challenge. Divide employees into teams and have them compete against each other in a series of “minute to win it” challenges. These challenges can be anything from stacking cups to blowing up balloons to seeing how many marshmallows one can stack in 60 seconds. The possibilities are endless!

For example, you could have teams compete in the following challenges:

  • Stack as many plastic cups as possible in one minute
  • Blow up and tie as many balloons as possible in one minute
  • Stack as many marshmallows as possible in one minute

Plus, you can make the challenges more difficult by adding time limits, such as 30 seconds instead of one minute. The team with the most points at the end of all the challenges wins!

4. Balloon pop

This activity is a great way to get employees moving and working together. Divide employees into teams and have them compete to see who can pop the most balloons in a specified time period. The team with the most popped balloons wins!

Additionally, you could add in a twist by having teams pop the balloons with their feet or by having teams pop the balloons with a partner.

5. Egg drop

This activity is perfect for employees who are creative and enjoy problem-solving. Divide employees into teams and have them compete to see who can create the best design to protect an egg from breaking when dropped from a specified height. The team whose egg survives the drop wins!

For example, you could have teams drop their eggs from a second-story window or balcony. Or, you could make it more challenging by having teams drop their eggs from a higher location, such as the roof.

6. Office Olympics

The Office Olympics is a great way to encourage employees to work together and have some friendly competition. To get started, divide your employees into teams of two or three. Then, create a list of fun challenges that the teams will have to complete. Some challenges may include:

  • A paper airplane flying contest
  • A blindfolded marshmallow stacking contest
  • A “floor is hot lava” challenge (teams have to navigate across the room without touching the ground)

In addition, you could also add in some fun relay races, such as a “spoons and eggs” race or a “highlighter and paper” race.

Team-building activities are a great way to encourage employees to work together and have some fun. By implementing activities that challenge employees and get them moving, you can help improve employee productivity and morale. The bottom line is that happy employees lead to a more productive and successful workplace!
